COVID-19 (Corona Virus) has meant major changes to all of our lives. It's a fast moving situation, and it's likely that what we're doing will change, possibly with very little notice. Although first steps are being taken to open things up in the UK we'll be continuing to self isolate.
Orders are packed by one of us . There's no public access to either the workshop or the yarns which are stored at home. Only one of us is at the workshop (Joy) as Bobbie works from home. There are no other staff. It's just us. The workshop is a couple of minutes walk from home and it's rare for me to meet anyone on my commute to work.
We don't deliver parcels or allow orders to be collected fom us. That's been policy since we opened, and that policy will remain in place as we limit contact as much as possible.
Orders are packed by one person and go straight into mail bags. Until now these bags have then gone to the post office, and from today that's changing.
UPDATE 20.05.20
Post is now being collected 5 days a week, so orders received before 1430 will go out same day Monday to Friday.
Overseas post is going to be slower. It may be very slow. It may stop. If you're ordering from abroad and know that you'd be happy to wait for your parcel to be posted please let us know. Your order can be put safely to one side and we'll post it once services return to normal.
You can find the latest Royal Mail updates here.
Current UK Government advice is
"Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal. “
We'll continue to support charities - and we'll be donating to The Trussell Trust who are behind many of the UK foodbanks and who are going to be under more pressure than ever.
