  1. On Thursday we’ll be adding new project bags to the shop.

Each bag is 25cm wide and 29cm deep and fastens with a drawstring ribbon and toggle.

We’ll talk more about the bags on Thursday, but today we wanted to tell you why we chose the words we did.

Self explanatory really. Plus it acts as a warning.

Simple advice. Great advice. Get started now.

    Quote from Arthur Ashe.

The perfect reminder that waiting until everything is perfect before you start isn’t going to work.

Quote from Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

Different is good. For creative souls different is essential. That’s always worth remembering.

Words to live by in a crazy, crazy world.

Sort of like Star Wars but for yarn lovers. Mainly in tribute to Carrie Fisher whose courage and wisdom helped so many people.

Quote from La Cage Aux Folles, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman.

Words to remember, no matter what makes you feel you don’t always belong in this world. This bag will be raising funds for Stonewall.

  2. It’s here. It’s here. It’s here.

Yes, I’m very excited about this – and you will be too.

Last year the lovely Jo and Mica of Edinburgh Yarn Festival fame got in touch to ask for yarn support for a design which would form part of WoolTribe Volume 2.

I said yes. A special colourway was dyed and posted.

Then in the loveliest of emails I got a picture.

Design by Clare Devine, Photo by Katie Blair Matthews.

There are six glorious patterns in WoolTribe Volume  2 – and loads more too. So even if you can’t make it to Edinburgh Yarn Festival you’re still going to want a copy.

You can see all six designs and order your copy here.

If you’d like the special colourway to knit these special socks make sure you don’t miss next week’s shop update.
