Knitters and crocheters love wool – is a fantastic fibre to work with. There isn’t a day goes by when I don’t pick up wool either to dye or to knit with.
Wool is used for so much more than making yarn – and when something caught my eye on twitter I wanted to share this with you.
High Farndale is a farm in the heart of the North York moors. Run by two relatively new farmers whose way of thinking and working means well cared for animals and fantastic produce, High Farndale is the polar opposite of factory farming.
So far, so lovely – but I have to admit that what caught my eye on twitter was packaging. Wool packaging.
Peter and Nicola say “After taking care to raise our animals as well as we can we want to make sure their meat reaches you in top condition”
You can see the entire packing sequence here. I love the use of wool packaging rather than lots of polystyrene – such a great idea.
You can find out more about High Farndale here – and perhaps experience some wool packaging for yourself.
