New Year, New Yarn
Posted on
It feels like I’ve been talking about our Yorkshire yarn for a long time. We’d originally hoped to launch this at Yarndale – but in the end the yarn arrived with us at just after the Knitting and Stitching Show in November.
It’s been so worth the wait.
The yarn is 50% Poll Dorset and 50% BFL. Each fibre comes from a single flock and each flock is only a few miles from us.
To celebrate the arrival of this yarn Bobbie and I decided we should introduce a skein of it to one of our favourite places in Harrogate.
If you’re serious about your coffee then Bean and Bud is somewhere you’re going to love. We’re really spoilt in Harrogate for excellent indy coffee shops, and this one is very special. There’s an ever changing selection of teas and coffees. The hot chocolates are legendary. The cakes are glorious. The people behind it all are lovely – and as an extra bonus seem to have an endless supply of fabulous t-shirts.
It’s a million miles away from chain coffee, and it’s everything I love about businesses where people care about what they do.
Tea. cake. Hot chocolate. More cake.
Snuggling up to some of the coffee making kit.
Enjoying a slow brew coffee.
A bit of lounging on a recycled coffee sack cushion.
Having a closer look at the buttons for making hot chocolate. These are amazing.
A quick snuggle up to some more coffee kit.
Just handing out with the coffee cups.
Deciding which cake to have next.
Huge thanks to Bean and Bud for allowing me to take photos. Even more thanks for all of the fabulous coffee.
Our two Flocks Yarn will launch on 12th January, and we’ll have more news about it tomorrow.
