Shop Update

It’s strange to think that a year ago One Farm Yarn didn’t exist – perhaps because it was something that we wanted to do for a long time.

I love this yarn. It’s proper woolly wool with masses of bounce. It smells beautifully sheepy. It supports local businesses – from sheep to dye pot this yarn travelled 73 miles.

So we knew that we wanted to take One Farm Yarn to Edinburgh Yarn Festival – and the amount of enthusiastic smooshing and sniffing which went on was a delight to watch.

These colours will be in the update on Thursday at 1900 – and there are also a few skeins of charcoal, black and silver which I managed to photograph and then delete.

The texture and grab of One Farm Yarn makes it perfect for colour work – so mini skein sets were part of pour plan for this base pretty much as soon as we’d fondled the first skein.

There’s more to share with you tomorrow, including the new BFL, mulberry silk and baby alpaca base which launched at Edinburgh Yarn Festival. See you then
