  1. Bank Holiday Plans

    Posted on

    It’s Bank Holiday Monday.

For lots of people that means an extra day off work. Maybe even a day with some time to play.

I’ll be spending part of today getting ready for Leeds Wool Festival on Saturday.

Huge thanks to everyone who bought one of the limited edition bags. The stock for the online shop has sold out, so if you’d still like a bag you need to come and see us on Saturday.

Then as it’s a bank holiday there has to be time for some knitting.

These are being worked into a second Diagonapples

Diagonapples version 1 was worked with the colours in colour wheel order.

Getting it blocked is on my to do list for this week, so I should have pictures of the finished wrap to share with you soon.

Have a great day whatever you’re up to.

  2. Printed Crochet

    Posted on

Before Christmas one of the things I was using to create prints were knitted and crocheted samples.

    First they became sheep ornaments.

Then my favourites started appearing on coloured felt and being turned into bags.

The next print that will become a bag is taken from the Trienne shawl by Rachel Atkinson

I love how much detail the print captures. There’s something rather lovely about how the print changes between sections even though it’s a simple stitch pattern.

Many thanks to Rachel for letting me use her pattern in this way.

The bags made with this print will be in the shop update on Friday 15th January.
