Moonbroch Red

72% kid mohair, 28% silk hand dyed yarn. Approximately 420m / 50g per skein.

Moonbroch is a luxury kid mohair and silk lace weight yarn with a fluffy haze.

A moonbroch is a halo round the moon and it's a perfect description for the glorious mohair haze offered by this yarn.

Indie dyed in our Yorkshire studio. This fluffy blend of kid mohair and silk yarn is a laceweight yarn. It works well on it's own and also combines beautifully with other yarns where it offers a soft haze of colour. 

Our kid mohair and silk yarn comes from South Africa. 

Care for this yarn by hand washing it with a mild detergent and drying flat. 

Hand dyed yarn varies between skeins and batches. Please ensure you buy enough yarn to complete your project and alternate between skeins for multi skein projects.

We're going to donate 50% of the proceeds from the Moonbroch red skeins to charity. We're going to split that money equally between Stonewall UK and BLMUK (Black Lives Matter UK) 

We've chosen to donate to the UK arm of both charities as both racism and homophobia are still rife in the UK. It's not a problem that only exists elsewhere. 

Donating 50% of the proceeds from each sale means we cover the cost of materials,  tax and VAT and contribute to studio costs. That means we can continue to support charities on an ongoing basis. We'll keep donating until the end if June 2020.
